DPR TRACK REGISTRATION

Track is a very parent involved sport. Parents are responsible for all transportation to and from practices and meets. Parents are also required to volunteer at the Dexter Meet.

All practices take place at the Dexter High School Track. Practice will be at the coach's discretion.

Teams will have their first practices on March 11th (5-8 year olds) or March 12th (9-14 year olds). MANDATORY PARENT MEETINGS will be held on these evenings at 5 PM. You must attend one of these meetings

Meets are on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons. Track is a traveling sport and there will be only one home meet held in Dexter. Other potential meet locations include: Poplar Bluff, Jackson, Sikeston, and Cape Girardeau. Meet schedules will be issued at the parent meetings.

All DPR sports are considered "contact sports". At some point, whether it be a practice or a game, players may experience physical contact from his/her coach or other players. This contact may take place as a coach teaches a skill that requires hands-on instruction, players are running drills against each other or it may simply be an act of praise. However, we do not tolerate aggressive physical behavior from our coaches.
